IVT ia an Indo-Israel Innovative challenge NASA based technology to improve the circulation and blood flow helping out patients suffering from pain, swelling, vascular diseases and sports injury.

Intermittent Vacuum Therapy (IVT) treatment machine based on NASA technology to help patients suffering from venous and arterial issues

Sanjeevani Kaya Shodhan Sansthan has recently added the Intermittent Vacuum Therapy (IVT) treatment machine based on NASA technology to help patients suffering from venous and arterial issues. Dr. Amit Singh further adds, “It is as much good news for rehabilitation patients suffering from vascular problems as for those suffering from a sports injury.”  Vascular diseases are diseases of blood vessels, arteries, veins of the circulatory system of the body. The machine uses normal and low pressure to aid venous reflux, blood flow in the periphery and muscles, and improve lymphatic flow.

IVT Treatment

An average treatment consists of 4 to 10 applications for 30 to 45 minutes each. The IVT can treat:

  • Connective Tissue Weakness
  • Early Healing Of Fractures
  • Improving the Lymphatic System
  • Restless Legs Syndrome
  • All Kinds of Edema (Swelling)
  • Post-Operative / Post-Traumatic Swellings
  • Diabetic Neuropathy (Burning Feet)
  • Peripheral Arterial Occlusive Disease (PAD PAOD)
  • Chronic Pain (Legs, Arms, Back, Arthritis)
  • Lymphedema -Esp After Breast Surgery
  • Over Acidification
  • Cellulite and Spider Veins
  • Quick Removal Of Lactic Acid After A Strenuous Exercise By Sportsmen
  • Vascular Diseases
  • Rehabilitation and Recovery Of Sport And Other Injuries Including Fractures
  • Ulcers
  • RSI Syndrome
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome CTS
  • CRPS
  • Raynaud Syndrome

Technology

The IVT is a medical device: EG guideline 93/42/EWG class IIa. CE 0535. The lower body of the patient till the ribs is enclosed in the cylindrical space of the device. The legs are fully included. The device’s inner space is sealed with a lens at the waist region. Within the compartment the vacuum pump generates the normal and low-pressure alternatingly, -20 to -70 mbar.

How does it work?

Due to the generation of low pressure, arterial perfusion is stimulated. The passage through which blood is delivered to a tissue or organ through the circulatory system is referred to as perfusion. It is the rate at which blood is delivered or blood flow- (volume of blood per unit time per unit mass) is delivered to a capillary bed in tissue.

Through the IVT Blood circulation in the abdomen and lower body parts are encouraged.

Blood flow reduces hypertension in the vital line, stroke volume, cardiac output and reduction in arterial blood flow that is offset with the improved mechanism. The pulse and peripheral resistance improve. The sympathetic stimulation of the heart follows, increasing the heart rate.

Blood volume is modified and pressure is changed in the lower part of the body. The oxygenized blood flow within lower legs is encouraged and improved through changed conditions of low and normal pressure.

The IVT removes the lymphatic waste products when during the normal pressure the lymph and venous blood back flow is expedited. The pH value (how acidic or basic the level of blood is on a scale of 10) is raised and strengthens the connective tissue leading to better fat reduction and collagen synthesis.

IVT removes the lymphatic waste products when during the normal pressure the lymph and venous blood back-flow is expedited

This treatment was developed on NASA’s LBNPD Lower Body Negative Pressure Device method.

NOTE: There are no negative indications of IVT. But it must not be used in case of acute injuries as:

  • Phlebothrombosis: when thrombosis or blood clot in a vein (or phlebo) begins to create on its own due to inflammation of the vein (or phlebitis)
  • Thrombophlebitis
  • Pregnancy
  • Infection

Aw, this was a very nice post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort to generate a top notch article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and never seem to get nearly anything done.
